"There must be a victor"

Katniss and Peeta were hunting then Foxface secretly started eating berries called night locks. These are hazardous berries that instantly kill you. Before they realized who ate the berries they argued that Peeta ate ahead. As they put the pieces together they realized Foxface had been outsmarted by them.
The next day Cato was being chased by mutations with no weapons to defend himself. Katniss and Peeta came along the chase. There only worries at the moment were to avoid being eaten by mutts. Then Cato threatens Katniss by holding Peeta in a headlock. Katniss is pressured shooting at Cato because both will die, but Peeta is turning blue so she decides to take charge. She shoots Cato's hand as he releases Peeta, and falls to the ground with the mutts to attack him. The next day Cato comes back with pity, but Katniss sends her last arrow at his skull.

Suddenly the two lovers of district twelve have been informed that there cannot be two winners after all. The two tributes fought on who would die, and who would kill them because they didn't want to live without one another. Finally Katniss pours berries in both their hands and attempt to themselves together. The Gamemakers would fail the district without a winner, because "there must be a victor". Without them being stopped we wouldn't have a victor of the 74th Hunger Games. I congratulate them for both coming out alive together!

Rule Change- Almost Over

A rule change has been applied that this year they will allow two tributes to win on the same district instead of one. Therefore the only two districts this applies to is district 2 and 12 because both tributes are still alive. The other two contenders are Thresh and Foxface from different districts. However Peeta is in critical condition from Cato cutting his left leg, so Katniss went to search for him then cured his scars, and cleaned him up. She wants him to recover to  become stronger in order to fight together. As they bond together she steals a kiss to proclaim their love. She promised that he would recover and survive this, and soon after they are given hot soup.

The final six tributes were invited to a feast with supplies they specifically need. Foxface grabbed her bag successfully, on the other hand Katniss was threatened by Clove. Suddenly to the rescue Thresh killed Clove, and thanked Katniss because she cared for Rue. Then she injected the medicine for Peeta's cut. Days after the feast Thresh died therefore Katniss and Peeta must leave their territory because they're next.

District Eleven

Young-hearted Rue died the eleventh day as Katniss finds her tied up. She untangles her, kills the boy from district one who killed her alliance partner. Rue asked her to sing and Katniss sings a beautiful tune. She then surrounds her with flowers thinking of Peeta's words when he said "Only I keep wishing I could think of a way to.... show the Capitol they don't own me. That I'm more than a piece of their games." The distribution of flowers was to show there is a part of a tribute they can't control, and that Rue and herself are more than just apart of a game. Because of her generosity towards Rue, Katniss is given a loaf of bread from district eleven and a sacrifice from Thresh. Rest In Peace Rue.

Past Ten Days

Within the past few days action has occurred during mid-week. However on the second day the career tributes and Peeta create an alliance. They are on a mission to kill the others and have succeeded killing the female from district eight. Katniss exposes her hunting skills, and stays away from others climbing trees.
The action began on the fourth day when Katniss was up high in a tree and suddenly a wall of fire with lots of flames and smoke came towards her. She had cuts from branches scraping her, and she began choking. The worst part was the crucial burn on her calf that made it difficult for her to walk afterwards. The next day she examined her calf with red flesh covered with blisters and she soaked it in water.
The anthem plays with no deaths and Katniss receives a gift for her burnt calf. Then soon after she starts sawing a nest. No ordinary nest, but a tracker jacker nest that can kill you or make a person mad with hallucinations. Soon after the Career tributes realize they're being attacked and some head toward the lake while Glimmer is attacked to death. The others got stung, but not so badly. Katniss wakes up after hallucinations  two days later and creates an alliance with Rue from district eleven. The both of them shared their items like special herb leaves for the stings, and burn cream.
Katniss blows up the supplies with her arrow in the Cornucopia. The Capitol was surprised that a tribute was capable of setting up the plates to blow up like mines. Then Cato killed the male from District 3 because his job of guarding the supplies was done.

Cornucopia, First Day

Sixty seconds waiting to begin the Games; there's a lot of pressure about from where to go, what supplies to get and how to stay alive for the first day. There are many supplies like food, containers of water, weapons, medicine, garments, and fire starters to help you along the way. The question is should you grab the materials in case there is no more? Or should you run away from the contenders. Those sixty seconds are stressful, and tempting to decide. You can end your life instantly or escape and seek safety. The Cornucopia is a bloodbath because everyone is there and its easiest time to kill others while they have the chance. For the contenders that survive they begin to find shelter, make alliances and try to adjust to their new environment. Today eleven died and thirteen are left in the Games. May they rest in peace, and for the survivors may the odds be in their favor.

"Katniss the girl on fire"

This girl has sparked my attention and surely is the talk of the town! To begin with she volunteered for the sake of her sister. Katniss has said to be a responsible young lady nurturing her sister because her mother has to work. She feeds her family food by trading and hunting meat, and fruits. Prim her sister is delicate,  and innocent to do the things her sister does. Sometimes you have to be forced to grow up before you know it. The sacrifices she makes proves to her role at home as considerate, and brave.
Plus she was ranked the highest with an eleven! The career tributes train to enhance their skills beforehand when they aren't suppose to and Katniss still scored higher! Not only has she been inspiring towards the audience, but with a score like that she must have wowed the Game makers too. With her excellence of archery she must have kept their attention towards her. However I won't know for sure because it was private and who knows the other talents hidden .Surely"Katniss is a girl on fire!"
Besides all that she has dressed wonderfully at the interview as her dress began to spin in flames. Her dress was "entirely covered in reflective precious gems, red and yellow and white with bits of blue accent the tips of flame design" by Cinna and his crew. I thought it was unique compared to other years when they had people dressed in black representing coal for their district. Instead of coal they went with fire to symbolize the work of coal miners. Sadly her father died from an explosion when she was younger so she is no stranger to fire, and ever since then she was a fighter. From her outfits, to her score and consideration for her family she has been a star!

Private Sessions

For three days they've been preparing, learning new skills like tying a knot, making a fire, archery, weight lifting, and many more! Everyone has a unique talent, but should they expose their skill in front of others, or leave it for private sessions? The private session is the time to show the Game makers their skills. Each get ranked, one being the lowest to twelve being most superior. There are variety of stations to take advantage of. You'd think they'd like to learn things when they aren't being judged in case the contender is no good and during the private session surprise them with your expertise. On the third day during lunch, appointments for private sessions were given in order of the districts.

The scores are shortly being televised, but I was able to introduce a bit. The Career Tributes ranked about eight to ten and others average score were about a five. Specifics that stuck out were surprisingly district twelve; Peeta ranked an eight, and Katniss ranked the highest overall with an eleven. Although they aren't allowed to speak of their session I'll get news on that soon! Another shock was the score of the youngest Rue, who did quite well ranking a seven! For someone being the youngest at twelve years old with a seven is impressive. I wish all of the contenders good luck, even the ones with the lowest. For all we know they're still hiding under their shell and are superior. The scores don't guarantee success of winning, but a great chance. I can't wait for the interviews with Caesar Flickerman tomorrow, stay tuned!

"May the odds be ever in your favor"

Twenty four contenders have been chosen, a boy and girl from each district. This means the annual 74th  Hunger Games has begun! This is the time to prepare between the verge of life and death. So what's the best fit traits for a contender in the games? They must be likable for sponsors support, self-centered to avoid alliances and further attacks, intelligent, and stealthy to outsmart opponents in order to win. Effie Trinket announces "May the odds be ever in your favor" because its personally what actions you take to win. Effie meant a sign of good luck, while I interpret it as responsibility in the actions, and chances you take. For instance each boy and girl have their life on a sliver plate and it can slide off, but its up to themselves to have a steady hand. There must be practice of special skills, and learning new things. The odds may be successful or disappointing, but they're controlling the odds. Depending on their decisions can determine if they can handle this task for their district. Therefore may the odds of the contender winning be in their favor based on the choices made in the arena.

The 74th Hunger Games

For many years all districts of Panem come together to the capitol to compete. We've chosen one girl, and one boy from the age of twelve to  eighteen years of age. There is a verge of life or death, as they live within a different environment full of obstacles. Furthermore they must take care of things like finding a shelter, water, and food. They must face other opponents trying to kill one another, natural causes in the arena, and using portions of supplies.
The Hunger Games is part of entertainment as they watch opponents "fight till death on live TV." Honestly its a fight to death against 24 contenders to survive in an environment and whoever is last standing is the winner representing their district.People of each district have some type of access to watch the action, while the family depresses that their child was chosen. For the family of the boy or girl chosen feel concerned because the chance of their last presence. However 1 out of 24 contenders is the chance of not being their last toll in life. The Hunger Games is most significant to the district allowing them to exceed others, therefore there won't be any changes or removal.
